II Navratri : Significance II

Navratri, the Festival of Nine Nights, celebrated for nine nights every year in the Hindu month of Ashvin Maa Durga Devi (September-October) in the Honour of goddesses Durga,Maha Lakshmi, and Saraswati. This festival is celebrated at the same time in different ways all over in India. During the Sharad Navaratri, that is the September – October Navratri celebrations, the tenth day is celebrated as Dussehra.

Durga Puja festival comemorates the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura. Thus, Durga Puja festival epitomizes the victory of Good over Evil

 

Mother Goddess(Maa Devi) is worshipped on each day in different form of the Goddess. The nine forms of Goddess Shakti are worshipped during these nine nights and ten days.

These are:

First three days are to worship in the form Goddess Durga (Shakti ).These three days are dedicated to Durga Maa, the Goddess of power and energy. Maa Durga Devi is worshiped in her different forms as Kumari, Parvati and Kali during these days.

MahalakshmiFourth to Sixth to worship in the form of Goddess Mahalaxmi.(Wealth). On fifth day which is called as Lalita Panchami,this day is to gather and display all literature available inthe house, light a lamp or ‘diya’ to invoke Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and culture.

Last three days for in the form of Goddess Saraswati (Dnyan or Gyan) to acquire the spiritual knowledge. On the 8th day(Mahaashtmi) of this Navaratri, Yagna,यज्ञ (holy fire) is performed. Ghee (clarified butter), kheer (rice pudding) and sesame seeds, are offered to Goddess Durga Maa as Aahuti (पूर्णाहुति).

On ninth day (Navami) Ayudha Pooja is Performed in Business houses, Industrial organizations, Shops and Establishments. Machines and Equipments which are used in the organization are cleaned and smeared with sandalwood paste (Chandanam) and vermilion (Kum Kum) and decorated with flowers. In some places the “BALI”
( (बली) is given to these Tools and Machines.

Dashami

After the three days of Puja, in Dashami , in the last day, a tearful farewell is offered to the Goddess. Most of the community pujas continue the farewell as long as possible and arrange a grand send-off. The processions of Maa Durga is taken place around the locality and finally is immersed in a nearby river or lake. This event is celebrated as Vijaya Dashami all over the country.

श्रीमहालक्ष्मी ही मूर्तिमंत मंगल देवता आहे. सर्व प्रकारचे सुख आणि समृद्धी ही तिच्याच कृपेने लाभत असतात. तात्पर्य, आपला गृहस्थाश्रम सुखी होण्यासाठी आपण योग्य ते न्याय्य प्रयत्न करावेत व त्या प्रयत्नाला दैवी अधिष्ठान मिळावे म्हणून या स्तोत्राद्वारे श्रीमहालक्ष्मीची स्तुती अवश्‍य करावीश्रीमहालक्ष्मी  हे एक रूप आहे. या रूपाने श्रीमहालक्ष्मी भक्तांना धनसंपन्न करते. वैभव संपन्न करते.
